i am soooo lucky to have one of those dads who can do ANYTHING. i found plans for this cool daybed which i thought would be perfect for a bedroom up north and got him on board to help make it. it went pretty smooth although there were a few bumps in the construction...like attaching the back on backwards and having to remove the nails to get it on the right way. he also was fighting me on doing what he called the 'damn herringbone' pattern. 'it's going to be a lot of work & will just collect dust' he told me over & over. i stood my ground and told him the pattern is why i liked the bed so much & we had to do it. it definitely was a lot of cutting & confusing at times but we made it through! i think it turned out super cute & we decided to make another one for the room plus make matching headboards for the other two beds that are up there. i'm thankful that my dad & i work so well together & i am always amazed with what he can do. he can be a bit whiny at times (ha!) but i can deal with it. it was a project i won't forget...
love you dad!!
